For more than 35 years, Charlie Berg has been actively engaged in leading teams that have successfully brought more than a dozen new technology products to market, in fields as diverse as design and discrete manufacturing, Internet entertainment, online education, and medical informatics. Charlie has demonstrated a particular competence in bringing the right amount of big-company structure to small-company, high growth, high-stress environments. He has consulted with over a dozen companies - startups and established enterprises - in a wide range of industries.

A software engineer with years of experience, Charlie has been a key contributor to more than eleven startups, five of which were either acquired or went public, and has led teams that have brought more than 25 products to market.

Charlie is also a professional musician, having toured and recorded with Don Byron, Uri Caine, David Byrne, David Amram, The Klezmatics, and many more. He also lectures on jazz as a metaphor for Agile Management and technical innovation as an improvisation activity.

Charlie is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, with a BSEE in Computer Engineering and a BA in Psychology. He also studied Artificial Intelligence at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. When Charlie is not sweating at a startup, he is a professional jazz musician, and a blue-water sailor.
